Sat 30th/ Sun 31st July - what small DFW things will you be doing this weekend?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :money:

Hi everyone
Thanks for the kick off PF!
Bob, I hope your FIL is ok - glad your DH could go visit.
We've got my parents visiting this weekend. They've said that since they are taking my sister's kids away for the weekend over the summer and we don't have any kids they will give us the same money for the house. Oh bless them! We're going to get a new shower installed next week hopefully. :T
Off to the farmers market later for a walk around - looks like a nice day too. Hmmm...I'm sure this trip won't be v DFW-esque, but it's good for the soul.Supporting my local and all that.
Eating in tonight - got the Ts £10 meal deal x 2 - not the most cost effective way to feed the 4 of us but we did get 2 bottles of wine and no stress cooking so works out well (for me).
Updated YNAB - oh so quick it goes!! My 'Age of Money' is now 20 days so that's something...
Happy Saturday everyone :beer:0 -
Oh, I did a bad thing last night...showed my parents 'grannyannexe.com'. Their faces! They would absolutely love it! Only thing is that my garden is too small...Sorry Sis - you'll need to pick this one up :rotfl:0

Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -
Hi July Joculants,
Hey everyone. DW just found a toad in our compost bin; gave her a fair surprise.
Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Two:
* Do RM Surveys.
* Post stamps sold on eBay.
* We think we found out what's up with the freezer: thermostat was turned down. I think one of us kicked it as we walked past. Hopefully it's not actually leaking but was defrosting.
Live long, live well and prosper.

Back from a weeks holiday, back to reality. Stayed in a self catering cottage, managed to use some discount vouchers for days out but did have a few take aways! Hey ho.
I have checked my bank balances and I reckon I have £200 to last me until 15th August. I think its completely do-able just need to think of some free stuff to do this weekend. Have some free cinema tickets may use them.
Thanks for starting PF and the DIY pedicure and eyebrows idea. I have bought some wax strips 2 weeks ago, I'm not sure whether I will be brave enough to pull them off!!
I've relisted lots of items that I let expire over my holiday so I have relisted them on flebay and faceache (as my DH calls it!) I've signed up for two market researches this week, won't earn too much hard cash but I might sell the some of the things I need to buy and one is a meal out so that will be something to keep us entertained next weekend! I think I am going on a hunt around the house today for things to sell....wish me luck.
I've checked postcode lottery today and my inbox to see whether I have won anything, unfortunately not!! Haven't won anything since Easter :-( lets hope that means I am going to win something really big and fabulous soon.Competition wins £14,136.30[\COLOR]0 -
