when is the best time to swap broadband dont really want to end up paying twice as funds are short.My current one is due on the 8th of the month

As a minimum you tend to pay for the 2 contracts for 1 month.
Then about 3 months later you should get a months payment back.
But as you say if you don't time it right you won't get it all back.0
