Hi all

I need to pay over 2,500 euros to a hotel in Majorca when i arrive next week for my holiday stay, my question is do i change sterling into euros here in uk, over there in Majorca or do i pay using my Santander debit card.

They are all more or less equally bad value methods, and you seem to have left it late to obtain a better card for overseas use.

In the London area you could open an account in a branch of Metro Bank and be issued immediately with a debit card which is fee free in Europe.

Your Santander debit card is likely to be fee free for ATM withdrawals at Santander machines in Spain - check to make sure.
