Do you enjoy your job?

I used to enjoy my job until it turned into childish point scoring amongst other members of staff.
Made the decision to follow my ambitions to become a veterinary nurse. I can't wait to start0 -
Love my job (self employed) - but very very low income!! It's enough for me, as we own our house, but a bit more spare every now and again would be good0

I LOVE my job!
I am self employed, working from home 4 days a week.
Sometimes I get frustrated by some of my clients, and it can be worrying, when several clients leave at the same time, leaving me financially short. The paperwork can take time, but I probably do much more than I need to, I actually quite enjoy that too!
AND I LOVE being able to get out and about and have fun, and get paid too!
I'm a childminder, with over 25 yrs of childcare experience, with lots of qualifications.0 -
Hate working for other people ...always have , dislike other less intelligent people telling me what to do. ! work to live and not the other way 'round. But at the age of 60 find I am at the top of my career tree (lol) as part time school caretaker ! After recent local gov job re-evaluation it would be very hard to improve on my hourly rate now and therefore , sadly ,with my lack of qualifications have only retirement to look forward to...if the national government stop moving the goalposts that is !!! 6 years to go and can't wait to get off the treadmill !0

I work freelance, and a lot depends on the client. Some, more honest and high-integrity clients I absolutely love working with. Others try to dodge their debts and smear my work, and the only satisfaction I get from working with them is knowing I can walk away, but they're stuck with themselves.0

When people ask me if I like my job, I always say I've never had such a stressful job but I've also never enjoyed one so much. Every day is a challenge, I've been given more responsibility than I've ever had and people are very happy with the work I'm producing. Don't get me wrong, the ridiculously long hours are starting to get to me and I'm going to put my foot down with respect to the unpaid overtime I'm doing out of the goodness of my heart up until now. There are lots of office politics (where I have to smooth things over between my boss and some of my colleagues) and the future of the company is slightly uncertain. But apart from all of that I can't see me working anywhere else at the moment.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170

I love my job! I changed careers 2 and a 1/2 years ago to become a firefighter and can honestly say it was the best decision I've ever made. I'm qualifying this year at 35.
The training was hard work but I really enjoyed every minute.
I took calls for the fire service before which no also enjoyed but I sat at a day for 14hour nights sometimes.
I much prefer being out in the community and in the thick of it.LBM: 09/12/2008
