How to spend excess credit?

I'm on the pay as you go offer with o2 where you top up £10 a month and get free texts, the only problem is I never use that £10 and I have over £60 in credit.

Are there any services or websites that will accept payment by mobile? All I seem to see are ringtones and I don't want those!

Cheers

Same thing with me. I have about 200 text messages and 300 voice cross network minutes on T-mobile going waste every month.

The reason I signed upto this deal was that I was using the minutes for International calls through 0744xxxxxx.

    Thanks
I wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T
  • You could download some games.

Or you could just stop topping up for a while. Every time you top up you get your free texts. If you stop topping up you every 30 days you won't get your free texts and you'll start using your £60 credit you've accumulated. Then, when that's running low, top up by £10, you'll get your free texts back, and that date becomes your new anniversary date to top up by to get more free texts.
If this has been of any use please click on THANKS, it makes me look good.

In general most offers paid by text or call are fairly bad value as the "seller" gets only approx 50% of the price of the SMS paid to them.

Apart from ringtones, the only things I can think of to spend excess credit are:

    BY SMS
    1. Music/audiobook downloads @ http://www.wippit.com/default.aspx
    BY CALL
    1. Rapidshare Premium account (if you use them and can dial premium rate) http://rapidshare.com/en/paybycall.html
    2. Get prepaid minutes to call any destination (complicated but ideal if you have suitable free minutes on top of your credit. Be sure to read the site fully!) https://www.qxdial.co.uk
    :)
  • Phone chat lines :)

If you have a mate/family member on O2 you could get O2 to transfer all/some of it to them. You could "sell" it to your mate/family member to recoup some/all of the money you've put in.
  • Is there a way to transfer the credit to paypal/bank, so I can get cashback?

Take up a contract phone with O2. Generally, they will offer you a deal better than that for totally new customers and your PAYG credit will be put as credit on your pay monthly bill.

Else, donate the money to charity by text/SMS.

    cheers
