We managed to get some cheap car parking through Holiday Extras, paid roughly £4.40 per day and it was onsite0

If I'm leaving my car for a few days then I'm more interested in parking it somewhere safe than it being free.0

It is all permit holders and resident permit holders only.
Just pay to park, or use public transport for the entire journey.
You chose to leave it late, so you pay the premium price.0 -
A quick scan on Google street view suggests that there are places within a mile or so of the airport that are not permit/restricted. I'm not going to post any locations as I'm sure local residents don't want airport users taking up parking spaces that they need.
Of course there's no guarantee that you'll find any free spaces when you show up to park, and the images on GSV may not be up to date with current parking restrictions. So personally I wouldn't risk it.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks

Look on the bright side. It may be that the nice police or local council will make sure there's no damage to the car by towing it to their secure compound. This may involve some cost but that's better than damage or theft, and it's not as if there are any alternatives, oh no, hang on there's....0 -

Yeah, I've found quite a few places all within a 20 minute walk, some non residential too so you wouldn't be taking up anyones spaces.
