'OurKid' is secretary of a 'club' and wishes to send an e mail to each of his 42 members.
His ISP is Farming on Line will only allow 10(?) sent messages per hour to "comply with the law" and so have suggested that he uses 'mail chimp'
He has looked at this with his chairman and they have both concluded that "it is way too complicated"

Does anyone have a simpler suggestion?

Use an email client, if he doesn't already, and set up a group for all the members. Easy then to email the whole group by just putting the group name in the Bcc field. Most outgoing SMTP servers will not have such limits as the ISP presumably has on its webmail service.

Then you could use a different SMTP server for outgoing mail if the current one has a limit.
For example, I have just set one of my accounts to use the gmail smtp server for outgoing mail. You need to register a gmail account to do it, but it will work. The only problem I saw was that my outgoing messages then showed the gmail address as the "from" address rather than the original address. There's probably a way round that though - or he may prefer to use an address set up just for the club correspondence? MS Outlook will handle multiple accounts with ease.

Find an ISP that knows the law, since whatever they have told him is made up.

It's a fairly good indication of a rubbish ISP if they impose arbitary limits on the amount of email you can send.

    :)

Either use one of the excellent suggestions above, or inform the ISP that they are talking out of their mailchimps as there is no such law and you demand the limit lifted or you will take your business elsewhere !!

If he's not even capable of using Mailchimp then surely he won't be capable of working out how to inform his ISP about anything.

Can he even tie his own shoes? ;)
