    EU claim is A lot of time and hassle for £80 I think. 2 me damage limitation would be ,take Haun flights or write off the £80 hotel

    As RichardW has posted, the airline would pay up long before the case got anywhere near a court.

    Do either of you have a link showing that ever happening? As I said, I don't follow it closely but I've never seen anyone successfully sue a budget airline for not rerouting on a competitor.

    Yes, lewroll's case https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3070460 clearly shows Jet2 chickening out. Btw Cityboy's posts were deleted from the thread.

    Don't forget Jet2 took the Huzar case to the Supreme Court, so they are an airline that appear to go all the way if they think they can win.
