I want to stop drowning

Hi,
My dh has done even more overtime now which means for the next 3 months he should get a good amount of overtime pay meaning we can afford our outgoings and potentially save/clear debt.
Still no decent houses but the longer we can stay at our current house the better it will be.0 -
That's a relief in some ways, although I'm sure the not knowing on the house front is unsettling. Have you approached any letting agents asking if they know of anything coming up in the next few months? Maybe tenants of properties who've been asking about properties to buy, or looking to move on.
You never know.Outstanding mortgage: £23,181 (December 19)

Yes I have asked. A few more have come up but aren't that great and more than what we currently pay.0

Morning,
I have quite a busy weekend with visiting family.
I have semi been watching what I eat and lost 2lbs so far but really need to do it properly. On the money front I still feel like we are constantly spending, constant sch trips, prom invites, year book , Mother's Day, Easter eggs, bday presents, bday invites  I don't know if I'm noticing it more as I'm writing it down or is it just this year. We have been invited to two family celebrations which hasn't happened in a good few years and my dd is in year 11 meaning she has her prom and leavers jumper etc. I'm not sure how to cut any of that down unless we don't go to any celebrations.
Hope everyone has a good frugal day.0 -

Morning,
I had a lovely day yesterday ( apart from a few issues with my mother but that's pretty normal!) my dc and dh spoilt me and really made an effort.
I haven't got that much on this week which is nice as I feel like I get so busy that I hardly spend time with my little one. I'm hoping not to spend much other than food bits. I also need to try harder on my diet as that is getting me down too!0 -
Morning,
I can't wait until dh gets paid next week as I feel like I haven't made debt payments in a while. I'm focusing on saving as a priority therefore only the minimums are getting paid although I don't feel like I have saved as much as I would have liked too but I'm still sticking to my March target of £3000 savings and under 45k cc debt!0 -
Morning,
The days seem to be flying by. I'm really trying to cut the food budget down and I think it's working. I'm hoping to not spend more than approx £15 on milk, fruit and cheese until dh gets paid next Tuesday. I had a semi lazy day ( for me) yesterday as I was up the night before with sick children. I still did quite a few bits.
Today I need to:
Change bed sheets
Wash bed sheets
Hoover and mop the floors
Do 20,000 steps
Sort business bits out tonight
Have a good frugal day everyone.0 -
Sounds like a successful week so far on the low spends and your DH overtime.
