Popped in to say how sorry I am about old Ollie. It's really difficult when a much and long loved pet dies. Poor boys. I'm sure that Granny will pull them through.

My day has been fine so far. Meeting about next semester was interesting. I've picked hedgerow raspberries and abandoned red currants. I've got a wash load hanging outside in the high winds (no rain today so far so I may just get this lot dried). Spoke to HMRC and DWP about paying voluntary class 3 NI contributions. Had home made butternut squash soup and a wrap for lunch.

That could be me done for the day although I'm expecting a young neighbour to call round with her Mac. The farmer is dousing sheep so they are making a racket. Time for a cuppa.

De-lurking briefly; while Ollie lives on in Mikey's heart, he will never really be gone. I know how awful it is when a faithful dog has to cross Rainbow Bridge - there's this horrible dog-shaped hole in your life.

How confused I have got. I posted on the Tues thread, only to find this Wed thread. Is there a different thread for each day?
Anyway, I have cut and pasted.
When I was a very small girl, my Mother would put on the radio, sit me on her lap, all ready for listen with Mother. When I was a little older, she would put on the TV, and sit me down ready for Watch with Mother. Except, this time I watched it alone, as Mother was busy with my baby sister.
So, "Are you sitting comfortably?" Then I'll begin.
I wonder what happened to Andy Pandy. Was he a basket case? Well he did hang around with Loopy Lou, didn't he? I think I caught a glimpse of him, some years later on Des O'Connor.
Do you think the Flower Pot Men, ever learnt to speak English (Flub a dub)? Did they get asylum? Or were they deported back to the garden shed?
Where did Busy Lizzie and little Mo go? I think little Mo, grew up to become Bjork.
What about the Wooden Tops. Did little Willie get any bigger? Did Spotty Dog get cured? Oh, poor Spotty, do you remember his walk?

Ok, I have finished my tea. I will leave with a 'Thought for Today'
Is it better to have a slow computer, and an active mind, or, a fast computer and a baffled mind?

I hope you get some good news about your DH soon and he is able to be back home.

    JackieO

I am so sorry about the loss of a family pet you had for so long but glad he had someone he loved at the end.

I am still unpacking stuff and about to go to diet club tonight. BT hub had tripped the circuit board and I am quite proud I managed to reset the circuit board and the hub by myself this morning so that I could connect to the internet. The more I unpack and give away the untidier things seem to get

    Hugs to all

  • Well it would appear that OH's problem is his left ear he has BPPV. we all have crystals in our ears and sometimes they float into the wrong place, hence the bad dizzy yesterday.

He lay on a trolley all night, they found a bed for him this morning, he now has a bad back!! he is to get treatment for his dizziness, no idea when they will send him home, sooner rather than later I think.
