I'm happy to join the abstainers. But just to keep my mind busy. When exactly does the Boots sale start and when do the further reductions kick in.

    Thank You.

In my store last night (Derby) there was literally no samples! I expected there to be as in previous years they gave out loads of mini's and goodie bags and competition entries and things! It might just be my store that's rubbish! I'm not sure if others had anything?

Nothing at Wolverhampton either - very disappointing.

I'm not going to any of the xmas nights either :) i'd already decided as literalyl spent way to much in boots over the months and the last three times i've been in i hated it - wow i did say that!! haha.. today was the cherry on the cake.

I asked if i could use the voucher on some n07 eyeshadows half price and she said yes they went through yesterday so i picked 3 up for 342 and someone else came along and said no... she wouldnt even try them if i just got one :( i know its not the sa's fault but she just told me they worked!

plus someone pushed in front of me in the line but i did tell her..

... wasnt worth all the hassle and getting flustered with my kids in tow.

However, i do need some nappies so might have to go to a different store tomorrow :)

    Totally agree....
I was going to go to Boots evening but OH has been called for jury service and has the car (only have one coz we are poor!!). I was contemplating taking my 5 year old on the bus in the cold dark night to bag a bargain when I could just get what I want online!
The only thing I really really need is a shaver for OH so have ordered it online, half price, £10 off a £50 order, Free delivery and £6 in points! and I am nice and warm and 5 year old is happily playing in his room...why do we put ourselves thru it!

Now the sales..............thats a different matter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was really looking forward to the xmas shopping evening! Last year they had music, bickies, chocolates, wine, fruit juice and samples to give away at my local store. None of that this evening though. It was just like a normal shopping day. What a let down:( come on boots...bring on the glitches and bargains before we all get bored and shop elsewhere.

last year I went to the Boots evening and I thought it would be fab and I would have lots of goodies and stuff and it was naff. I went to the trafford centre, so this year I am not going to bother.

Can't wait to start wrapping my pressies with the bargain paper for 19p which I have had since Feb!! How sad is that.

I don't know what to do either. I want 2 items in the 3for 2 but don't know what free item to get. I can't believe I'm having this problem!

I'm also thinking I could wait til after xmas and see if I can get it or not in the sales, but will I be disappointed if I can't get it - probably!

anyone seen any nice things for £20/ £15 on the 3for 2 to help with the free gift problem!?

:ABeing Thrifty Gifty again this year:A
