I received this after applying for my Instant Access Savings and it is system generated, so doesn't mean that they are necessarily asking you for certified copies of ID etc.0 -

Opening the accounts should be Ok to do online and should be pretty instant.
But... you are wanting to use the new accounts for Direct Debits.
You can request the DDs online so only a matter of minutes, but the setup will take a few days. I assume Tesco does some checking on the account you want to link to and that takes a while.
It takes 10 days, from my experience of setting some up yesterday.I am not a financial advisor or other expert. All posts are purely my thoughts at the time for discussion, not advice.
