The '-' type was the original system.
Then the '+' type was introduced a few years later. It is supposed to be an improvement.

Another vote for SVP. Even with postage, you'll always beat shop prices.
The branding on the discs isn't as important as the actual manufacturer. Some very cheap discs are fine. On the SVP site you'll see "ADVDInfo" for each of the discs that they sell. From this it's obvious that many discs are identical, evem though the branding and pricing can vary.0 -
What Welliesorter is saying is branding isn't as important as the dye type, not manufacturer. Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden both use excellent dye's. SVP have a review system and you'll see that Verb's and TY consistantly score between 8-10/100
