ESA medical cut short

OP, I just wanted to say I'm sorry that you received that response from lovetowinacar, and I hope it doesn't stop you coming back to the forum in the future. It's sad that some people assume that anyone with mental health issues cannot do anything interesting, or - God forbid - fun, with their lives, and instead sit sobbing 24/7.
Obviously we do sometimes get trolls on the forum, but we should be very careful before accusing someone who appears to be vulnerable, as getting it wrong could be really upsetting and prevent them seeking help in the future. Some people should focus on entering competitions for, say, motor vehicles, not accusing others.
Fully agree.:T0 -
You have to remember the medical can be a very stressful time for people. you are in a small room with a stranger who is asking you about one of the most painful parts of your life. It like someone is shining a spotlight on the things a lot of suffers hide from strangers or distract themselves from day to day.DMP - JAN 2016

i can kind of see both sides of the argument....
i think some people, have advantages, demographically etc > judging books by covers etc,
but am pretty confident (still)... that things all work out in the end.
not in reference to you OP > at all, just some people pick up on the anomalies, instead of disregarding them, for what they are etc..
....not that i know (not that anybody knows)
(= so don't feel the need to justify yourself etc)
what is it with people here stalking through peoples threads anyway ?
that's a bit dodgy imho.0 -
We can't really judge someones life based on a post on MSE and in any case, an assessment or the worry of one, can be a trigger for many.
It also depends on your definition of a 'normal life'.
Why else would somebody post their experiences on MSE if it wasnt for advice and opinions. And of course to offer advice and an opinion you would need to make a judgement on the OP's situation so whilst youre right you are very unlikeley to correctly judge someone based on MSE posts to say "shouldnt judge" is just words that seem to have become a trend recently, we judge everything and everybody all the time. What I think you mean is we should be careful not to jump to conclusions but thats what the OP is asking for.
I agree with NMW here, its disheartening to read about people claiming ESA/PIP with mental health related conditions that seem to function absolutley fine normally then become an absolute state when assesment time comes around. Of course I dont know the full picture of the OP's conditions so I may be jumping the the wrong conclusion but all the informaiton I can see suggests I could be correct.0 -

That is what I mean and I agree, we all judge, I just don't think it's advisable to automatically assume the worst all the time.
I don't have any of the issues that the OP has, mine are all physical and because they are all conditions that people can't see, they assume they are not serious, so I would expect the OP to have people doubting them as well. (I work btw but people still doubt).
I'm not sure why somebody had to research the OP and I don't know the OP's past posts but i'm sure we never see the whole story and if they were to be a troll, ignore it.
I hate people who claim when they don't need too and then real claimants are doubted as well, I just prefer in these cases to assume the person is telling the truth.0 -

that's a bit dodgy imho.
Things can be lost in translation, especially on the internet.
I didn't come to England until my teens (now 40) but I still get mis-read
That and there are better ways to say things than how I do. 0
