video transfer from ipad air to computer

Make sure your iPad is unlocked when connecting to your laptap. If it's locked DCIM will show no files.

hi , iPad is unlocked its just not showing any files and when l click auto play it says no photo or videos found to import even though l have loads on the iPad ?????..
This is a strange one and l think a lot struggling for suggestions ..

Not being funny here but l don't want to keep email all my stuff from ipad to computer, l want to know why it will not import photo/video, it reconizise the iPhone on the laptop so there must be a reason why it does not recognise the ipad ..
