Thank you Cat I'm glad about that point. No one wants to have to reach for the plastic do they. Phew! :eek:Drawingaline wrote: »Sounds like a tough month bob. Glad things are looking up.
My oldest boy has had some tough times at school. Mainly friends and his imature outlook (he is a summer baby) his transition to secondary school this year has been, in short, horrific  culminating in a very worried phone call from school at the end of last term, and a bit of a panic from me and oh. Luckily all a bit of a mountain out if a molehill (but top marks to the school for following it up) and since the beginning of term he is a lot happier. But unfortunately no words of wisdom in getting G them to open up to you. Just keep yourself as available as possible and some one on one time (so hard I know!) Is invaluable. Good luck x
As ever your dinners sound awesome, I made a Yaki Soba from the wagamama cookbook, unfortunately I included toasted sesame seeds and the Wild one (4 yr old) refused it saying 'seeds are for birds to eat, not people' :rotfl: kind of logic it's hard to argue with!
I'm really sorry to hear of your son's troubles. It must be so much harder for the youngest kids in the year, through no fault of their own whatsoever. I am glad the school picked up on the issues. Teachers are amazing aren't they. How funny about the bird food, strictly speaking he's not wrong :rotfl::rotfl:Seasidegal58 wrote: »Hi bob. Just been catching up with your news. Still all doing well this week with the bookings. :j also love the headings you have inserted in your posts.
Thank you Seasidegal We've had no more issues with DS so far. I wonder if a bit of January blues is to blame. You don't think it will hit kids as well do you, but very possible. I'm glad you like the formatting too." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Hi All
Just home, it's been a long day. DS had a special event to attend so we are super late back this evening. To round it off he has a school trip in the morning so he's got to go in early. Terrible diary management
Wealth
* Today I invoiced for £105 worth of future bookings
* Received the £77 credit from the bank
* Cashed in a free Costalotts because I worked all weekend and was zzzz this morning
* Free drinks and nibbles at the special event tonight.
* Spent £11 on shopping. The 60p value fabric softener from Mr S is really nice for the price.
* 1 day left till big payday.
* Confirmed with the FD switching team we are still ok for the sign up bonus of £100 if we delay till March 1st, not quite there with organising to go live Feb 1st.
* OHs biggest pension annual statement arrived today. I went to update the financial spreadsheet only to realise it isn't on the laptop that is currently in use. DH is a techie and brings home many and varied bits of kit. I called him to find out where the right laptop is!!
* Walked from home to school so only had to pay for my two buses home. One of which is free because of the hopper fare. So travel spends £1.50 for the day.
* Two new enquiries for business today. One is pretty much a dead cert. The other more of a chat. But still all good news.
* At the evening event, one of the other Mums said she'd been searching for venues for her daughter's party and my place came up very quickly. It's really good to hear that from someone who knows you as hopefully it means others who don't will have the same experience.
Health
* Very tired today. Did so much cleaning at work over the weekend, plus 3 hours of cycling over the two days. Was literally done in last night.
Organisation
* Spent 25 minutes on the phone with FD today simply trying to understand why my new security device wouldn't work. In the end it was as simple as the fact I was on a tablet. But no one thought to ask me that.....
* Noted all drawings from business in my book. £513 this month breaking down as
-£165 debt repayments.
-£100 to bills
-£248 groceries for the month.
* Moved the fruit bowl to a permanent high counter location, from it's low coffee table previous location to stop DD dropping apples and sticking her fingers into oranges!

My children are long past this stage, but I have had to move my fruit bowl up high again because smallest GD does this - or alternatively, asks for an apple, takes a bite and then wants another one instead! I will be glad when she grows out of doing this.0 -

Kids and fruit are a pain in the backside full stop whether they eat it or not. DS has been a firm lover of all things citrus for ages now. Then recently I bought a sack of oranges and he moaned they were too bitter and had too many pips. Then the next bag, satsumas had peel that was "too tight"
So now we are back to apples, and he's happy as Larry again. For now. But I remember only too well apples being rejected because they were too mushy, or too sour:(" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D
