Evening All
I am just sitting down with a cuppa before hitting the sack. Trying to ensure I've responded to all my e-mails too. Lots of balls in the air. Today has been a long one. DD had a bad night so was awake till 1 & then up in the night. Woke to a horror scene in the cot of one of those #nappyfails that had redecorated the bed. Queue baby dunking before we could get out of the house.
Got to the shop around 8.45 then sprayed the oven with Mr Muscle so it's nice for the incoming tenants.
Cleaned the floor in the customer loo and kitchen.
Then we ducked out to meet a friend at 10. Walked back for about 11.30. DD napped and I scrubbed out the oven. My arms feel like I have been doing dips, its all in the backs.
Left there at 1.30 to do a bit of food shopping before the school run. Ate lunch on the move.
Exciting news 1 was a tutor has booked for 2 days in half term. She may also need other times.
Exciting news 2 the workshops guy went for my suggestion so we are much closer to a win than we were. He is going to advertise a weeks dates then if he gets takers pay a deposit. I can do this at the moment because no one else has booked that week.
I have been offered 3 shifts this week and after discussion with OH think I will go for them. But I am anxious about the possibility that things could go wrong and then how do I manage? Most scenarios where it's serious you'd imagine sensible adults would take appropriate action first and then call the landlord???
Had a sh@t school run where our first bus came fine but the second link in the chain saw us unable to board 4 yes that's really 4 buses in a row due to the buggy space already being in use. We were all so hot tired and fed up. So an hour and a half to get 4 miles home!
OH had to go straight from work to finish a small job at the shop so I had to try and get DS tea, get him to do his homework which he had but had forgotten his reading book today!!! And stop crazy baby from either wailing as soon as she was deposited in the toy cot/her bed, or worse trying to climb off DS's bed as I attempted bedtime stories.
Right well better go and throw myself into bed before it's tomorrow.
Night all

Hi All
Sat down for 10 mins then school run. This morning I was at the shop by 9. Did some cleaning. At 10 I gave the keys to the client. Had two artists in hanging work too. Popped out to leave them to it for a bit. Bought stamps to post 2 cards and had 30 mins on the phone to my best friend.
Came back to the shop to let the artists go. Had a. Voicemail enquiry so rang her back and arranged a view for tomorrow.
Went to a friend's for a quick coffee then home. Popped a load on. Made us lunch. Had an email from a supper club who visited last month to ask about November availability.
Just checked my banking and letting DD have 10 more mins crawl time before I bundle her back in the buggy. Think she might nap. It is scorching outside but cool in here. Not looking forward to the next few hours.
See you on the other side

Sorry to hear that. It must be hard in late pregnancy especially when it's this hot.
It was a dream today 30 mins there and seamless buses on the way back." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Hello All
Just done a big spreadsheet update for the business before my dinner is ready (although baby is now awake so having to type fast, OH dispatched to settle)
Today has been a good one. The pop up are in place. A niggling repair has been done for £60, although it could have cost us zero had we known there was a secret fuse that OH couldnt locate. Live and learn.
I had THREE new enquiries today, super excited. 1 of those looks like it is a goer. 1 was not until next summer, and 1 was from a young guy asking about party hire....Im guessing we wont be his cup of tea. But I will ring back in the morning.
The main generator of enquiries has been my flyers. I did a view today with a lady who had seen one last week. Wont say where just in case I have any issues...but lets just say she was impressed by the ingenuity & liked the venue. If it comes off its worth £225 in business, likely to be paid upfront as it would be one booking for very shortly, plus 2 others in the early part of next year, but they like to advertise dates to their members so it would have to be paid in advance.
At present I have a definite £445 coming (possibly more) by end of September. By end of October a definite £527. Potential revenue, which I am classing as any enquiry, some definitely firmer than others, is worth £1885! Most of that would be by November.
Considering I have only been at this 6.5 weeks I think that sounds ok? Obviously the ends are not meeting yet, by quite a bit. But I can see they could as bookings start to firm up and deposits are paid. I think thats the nature of this, the bank balance will be a mix of deposits and the rest of it coming in as the actual events happen.
I have decided to go against my initial concerns following discussions with OH and make myself available at my evening job. I chatted this through with the pop up guys, and they couldnt see a reason why I would need to be immediately available. So its a trust exercise for me really too. Felt very weird walking out today and leaving them there...
I have managed to secure 15 hours work from Friday to Sunday, so that gives me £105 for this week, which is the magic figure we need.
Anyway have to go and help OH DD not settling.
