Well done Bob, things are starting to pick up pace with the business now! Really pleased for you, and that the school run God's smiled on you yesterday. Fingers crossed for the same today :j

I'm praying for a cooler day today!

thank you Eyebright. Apparently it's the last super hot day. I feel for those using the buses with non opening windows. Apparently they are fitting them now but if the air con doesn't work it's hideous

    Evening All

Today has been mostly good. Started the day going to the post office with last night's eBay sale. Charged £15 postage and it came to £12. So win there.
Went for a coffee then home to answer enquiries. Of yesterday's 3, two were looking for bigger places and the one that sounded plausible has gone off the wire... But not everyone lives on their phones so maybe I will have news tomorrow.
Had another phone enquiry this morning so rang and left them a message.
Then I did another big spreadsheet session. As of now I'm only £ 190 off breaking even in October. Need £1150 to do so. So amazing to be so close already.
I then had a great enquiry from an artist who is local. She emailed and phoned so seems keen. She suggested a longish hire which is brilliant. We haven't actually had chance to speak as I was about to do the school run. But I left a voicemail and emailed back.

It's my 10 year wedding anniversary tomorrow so I wrote my card and wrapped my present. I have got OH a lovely grey Snood. Ironically he would swelter in this heat if he wore it.

Did the school run and had another email enquiry! 3 today again. So amazing.

Then things got a bit rubbish. Firstly DS started being very annoying on the bus and because I told him off decided to take off an item of uniform and because I didn't notice left it....he is a huge pain sometimes. He keeps going on about his shoes at the moment. Despite us spending £30 on new trainers for school he says they are too large, so won't wear them. Don't get me started on OH letting him have £30 trainers....
But now his school shoes are hurting him??? I don't believe him. He just gets in a silly mood after school. Tiredness? Almost 8 year old hormone's??

Anyway cracked on. Made dinner for kids. Cut up half a sausage Into tiny bits for DD as I have done many times. Was sitting there and all of a sudden she started to choke really badly. Had to put my fingers into her throat to get the food out. It was really scary. She cried and cried after. Still all was ok so no need to dwell.

Right well time to crack on and get our dinner on.

Oh Bob, glad to hear DD is ok after the choking incident. Must be so scary and terrifying when it happens.

Good news about all these enquiries, hopefully plenty will be converted into bookings!

Happt Anniversary to you both for tomorrow xx

It was scary. I was very glad to have been literally right there to address it quickly. A stark reminder on child safety. Thanks too:)

    Afternoon All

Having a chill before the dreaded school run. I'm working tonight (paid work) so have been very organised today. Shopping done. Washing done. Meal planned for the next 3 days.
Have done a load of social media stuff to keep interest in the businesses, looked for new business on our local forum and messaged anyone who may be a lead. Also went flyering again on our way back from shopping. Did the main notice boards in Costa lots, Mr T and Mr S. And the park.

Opened our anniversary cards. Two were particularly poignant. One from my FIL. He and MIL are happily married but always send separate cards for occasions. Anyway seeing his handwriting meant so much when only months ago we thought we were going to lose him.
The other was from our best man who did the super cool thing of giving us a bottle of wine for each significant anniversary from 1 to 25. And cards for each. So his card today was written in 2006. It was fun reading what he'd written. Enquiring whether I was CEO yet, whether my husband had the Ninja 1100 (motorbike) or whether it was now too small for the family. OH gave up his bike before DS was born. I never got beyond middle management and sadly the card was jointly signed from a now separated married couple. I remember how in love he was with her back then and wonder how life can go so wrong sometimes despite our best intentions.

Better go, Hairy McClary is not going to read itself :)
