Yay you're here! I was getting worried ;)

    Hope all is well x

Sorry to worry anyone. I'm usually around and about :)
Glad to hear from you x

    Thanks Apple. :)
Hi Bob, I feel rather foolish for only just spotting your DFD after you have been so positive and encouraging to me. I'm not really very good at this.

Your tale of a friend and money brought back memories. When I met DH he was living abroad and renting out his place to a friend of a friend. Only that person didn't have to pay rent, only to pay the bills. Only they hadn't! It was awful. I do sympathise. Sending you best wishes, I have subscribed.

No need for any apologies. Life is busy!
Oh my goodness. How did that story end?

Know what you mean about the mood in London. And about other things seeming insignificant. It's not anything you can 'shrug off' or 'get over'. I guess you simply have to ride it out. Take care.

You should allow yourself to be a "teeny bit pleased". You have work hard for it.

We remain good friends with the friends that recommended him but have nothing to do with the person who ran up debts (he also gave away some much treasured vinyl from my husband's record collection). I moved into the flat and became the world's worst housemate. I also made him claim housing benefit for three months. Even so, he left us almost £1500 out of pocket. - I would like to say "but I'm not bitter!" but I can't, because I am. I have found letting it go easier than forgiveness (so I have moved on from what we could have done with that money, to just never saying anything nice if the individual comes up in conversation, because I can never forgive him for abusing the relationship).
