Well. Today was fine. Till I got to the school gate and heard what had happened. The poor lady who told me has a close relative in the armed police and hadn't been able to get hold of them at that point. She was in bits. I was so glad my husband had worked from home today. Scary times. Hugs to anyone who has been affected.

I know that London is a huge place Bob - but you were one of the first people that came to mind when I heard the news. I'm pleased that all is ok with you and yours.

That poor lady, she must've been worried sick.

Bob, so sorry to hear that this is so close to home for you, can't even imagine the anguish of not being able to get hold of a relative. Im assuming all ok with the poor lady you know as the officer killed was not armed. Still awful for everyone else involved though. Sending love from Yorkshire! xx

    Morning All

Happy Mother's day to all the Mums!

What a week! I don't seem to have stopped at home for long enough each day to feel I had time for doing updates. Monday I was at home all day but my son was off with an injury so I didn't get much done.
Tuesday I had to rush out for the last minute viewing. When you only have 6 hours per day anyway between school runs, extra unexpected jobs completely knock you out of routine, especially when you walk everywhere.
Wednesday I had to go to the accountant.
Thursday we had an event on so had to open up and then go back to do the lock up at 12.
    Friday I did nothing!
Yesterday there was a booking so I was there and back again twice between 12 and 6. Today the same.

    Wealth

Not good at all. I have been in the pits of despair this week at times, I literally have no idea at this point in time how I will get through April. It's that bad. For some reason I have had literally no bookings all week. Despite having a very positive viewing last Sunday that I was very sure would convert. The unexpected viewing Tuesday also didn't book. I've been answering enquiries for an adults party that then went cold. A date I'd optioned for someone was released instead of booked. I could go on....

Despite all that I have been pushing ahead which is another reason I haven't been here. I decided that if certain big producers are too big now to look at my venue, they might well know others who would be interested. So I have sent loads of emails this week. I have been rewarded with two meetings lined up for next week, and another two showing interest in dates to meet soon.
In between times I've been reading Lean In which is very motivating, and asks us to consider what we would do if we weren't scared, each time a decision comes up. I do still see my business idea as a great one. I took the enormous risk all that time ago to follow my dream at whatever the cost, and I have stood by my actions and tried to make life work around them.
So many of the people I knew that we're excited for me at that time have since moved on. But when I look at what they are doing, it seems very uninspiring. They have good jobs or not. Some of them are doing large bouts of work to their homes. Loft conversions etc. But I think I'd be bored doing that even if we still had the house. So I will go on trying to go for the big outcome! Even though I feel I am walking on a tightrope really.

Wow long rambling wealth update there!

On that note I'm going to get going :)

    Bob
