It really is, I've saved the main part for our dinner tonight. Just need to cook some rice to go with it!:D

    Afternoon

Feel like Mrs Popoff of Renta Ghost fame today. I'm in, I'm out, shall I shake it all about? Just wolfing poached eggs on toast to keep me going before the next bike ride.

    Wealth

    * I had an enquiry today but as with two of the others this week the dates were sold long ago. I don't know what people expect two weeks ahead really.

    * Revenue has been very slow this week. I received £100 from a customer for a booking next week, and other than that booked £75 worth of new business so took £37 in deposits. Not ideal.

    * We've saved quite a lot this week from OH working from home several days and me using minimal travel.

    Health

    * Very tired. Going to pack myself off for an early night. But a good weekend of exercise. By the time I make it back tonight I will have done 4 hours cycling over the two days, plus two hours of fast paced cleaning, which has had me sweating away!

    Organisation

    * Made us a lovely home made tomato soup for lunch. I served both the grown up portions with a dollop of sour cream, freshly chopped dill & a sprinkling of grated cheese. Very nice.

    * Going to serve OH and I the spiced beef for dinner later with rice and salad.

    * Helped DS with his home work. Made sure we are super organised for the morning as OH can't do his normal school run due to work commitments. I hate doing both ends of the day as it takes me around an hour out and an hour back each time. I may as well not come home!

    * The house is clean, all washing done and away and everyone is just having their tea before I go, so OH just has to bath them.

    Have a good evening everyone.

  • Hope you get an early night and a good night's sleep Bob. You need that coffee way more than me. It's really good that you got dinner to bring home as well.
How good is it that you are having to turn bookings away? That's fantastic news, and I hope it continues for ages and ages.

Had a good night :j:j again

It is good to be booked up but not good in the sense that you can't sell dates twice. Need new enquiries for future months. I'm wondering if half term is going to have an impact as people will be away etc.

    Hello All

Am updating from an actual computer for the first time in forever! DD is asleep, amazingly, and I have had a really good morning.

    Wealth

    * Spent some of DDs naptime going over OHs pension statements. He has 5 or 6 depending on our findings. Its a nightmare trying to keep up with them all, particularly as 3 or 4 are with Standard Life. He has got a pensions transfer form, and its been sitting on the table for weeks. So I rang him on his course break to say lets get onto this, this week. Im in the mood for financial tidying :)

    * Used a £3.50 Mr T voucher and bought myself a bunch of tulips. Although the stingy gets did not supply flower food, I found an old sachet in the drawer.

    Health

    * I have been meaning to treat myself to something like flowers for a while now. The beginning of Feb saw the 1 year mark since I was in hospital for an emergency procedure. It was one of the most terrifying things that has ever happened in my life. And it left a mark believe me. I survived it. That's one thing. But it really ruined some of the precious early days of my daughters life for me, and made me feel very mortal. Enough about that. But I am here, its been a year now, and the flowers are beautiful.

    * Sat down at my new beautiful table & had poached eggs on toast with sliced tomatoes whilst DD napped. It is so nice to have that time to myself.

    Organisation

    * Cleared off our lovely wooden dining table, which tends to get covered in DS's homework & OHs art projects. It is now clear, apart from the laptop, tonights home work, my new painting & a vase of flowers.

    * Spring cleaned the buggy. Took everything out of the basket below the buggy & threw out anything damp or old. Repacked supplies into a new reusable bag. The buggy looks a gazillion times better with its new rain cover too.

    * Put out a framed picture that we trash picked ages ago in the hope of using the frame. We havent. Its been sitting in the dining room for years. Out its gone.

Hope everyone enjoys the sunshine, off to do my long walk soon.

    Bob

  • it feels so good when you have a bit of a clear out and a tidy up doesn't it? I'm trying to put something in every charity bag that we get (and we get a few!)
Bet the tulips look lovely. Nothing like a nice bunch of flowers to make a room look cheerful. I love daffodils too.

  • How many times have you looked at the dining table since you tidied it? When I tidy something, I have to keep going back to look at it, I don't know why and I don't know if it's weird.

  • Oh I love a nearly cleared space! Makes me very happy.

Just catching up on your diary and feeling all inspired by your motivation, so thanks for sharing. :)
Trying to figure out a whole new life. Trying to figure out a whole new budget.
Divorcing, unclear on final debt total right now, but focusing on building a financial buffer zone.
  • Bob, just a quick post - Tom Hardy 6.50pm CBeebies - you're welcome!
