Hello,
I am struggling to get my head around the different size categories. I think we will need an SUV but not sure which one.
There are 3 adults, 2 suitcases and a bike( in a special carrier) to be transported.
Any help much appreciated.

They're all different unfortunately! Last time we had an Alamo mid-size SUV which was a Ford Escape, a Kuga over here.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

For a mid Size SUV with AVIS, we were offered a Jeep Cherokee and Chevrolet Equinox on different occasions.
Either of those would be entirely adequate.0 -
dollar do a couple of different size SUV. we had the smallest and got a jeep (not a cherokee but the smallest one) it didnt have a huge boot space and like with all the SUV we have ever hired over there you dont get a cover in the back to cover any cases etc
I prefer the full size car
have had a ford Fusion (mondeo) and a Passat the last couple of times from Alamobrits, both have very large boots.
The Passat swallowed 3 medium size cases and 3 carry on cases with ease0 -
I think you will struggle to get a bike in the Full Size.
Even the SUV will be a struggle. This is the type I normally rent.
How about hiring a people carrier and the bike can always be loaded via the sliding side doors.0 -

I did assume it must be a folding bike, if its a full size bicycle then i agree a rethink is required0 -
