Well if you don't mind losing money to exchange your pounds to euros, just to use them in Gibraltar and probably get charged higher prices with them, when you can simply use your pounds there, you could do so. But it wouldn't make much sense, would it?Evolution, not revolution0

Everything is priced in poundsPrivate Parking Tickets - Make sure you put your Subject Access Request in after 25th May 2018 - It's free & ask for everything, don't forget the DVLA0

Definitely use GBP£.
Many of the shops, bars and restaurants were displaying their own € > £ rate when I was out there last week. Typically this was not that different from the current FX rates and was ranging between 1.17-1.24.0 -
I've been to Gibraltar several times and, as others have said, everything is priced in £s. You will find that just about every shop and bar will happily accept GBPs although you may well get change in Gibraltar money. There is absolutely no reason to use €s there.
The only exception we have ever found there is the buses, which are a really good way of getting about there. You pay on the bus and the drivers will take sterling coins but not sterling notes. However, there is a cashier at the bus station next to casemates square where they will change sterling to Gibraltar £s 1-for-1. Since a day ticket for all blue buses (all but one routes) is only £2.40, or £1.10 for over-60s, just make sure you have some coins.:dance:We're gonna be alright, dancin' on a Saturday night:dance:0 -

Yes indeed. The overseas stores (I think there were 7) were purchased early on from the administrators.0 -
