Hi
Am hoping someone can help me here! My boyfriend has just received a parking ticket from UKPE for parking in Aviator Way near Manchester Airport. He did stop there, for about 5 minutes, after he dropped his Dad off at the airport while he put in my post code to his Sat Nav to find his way to my flat.
Can they give a parking ticket for being there for 5 mins - he said he didn't park in a car park, just pulled into the side of the road. Also, they have sent a photo of his car at a junction so not actually parked.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you!0 -
You need to start your own thread. Answering two people in one thread will just lead to confusion.0

I thought I had started a new thread - clearly not - no harm / confusion meant0

Hi everyone, thanks for the support.
Missus got a Notice of Allocation to the small claims track where within it said that Claimant had to pay the court fee and complete application by 26th September at 4.00pm which I now find by contacting the court that they have..
The Hearing is set for 10am on 24th October 2017 at Manchester and I am looking for guidance and advice as to what to do next please?
Many Thanks0 -
I know that they have not had much success in court recently - their NtK were deemed by my judge as not compliant with POFA, but the signage and landowner authority is still up for debate though.
I also know that a large number of the claims against one of the tenants at Regus were dismissed at Manchester about 6 weeks ago. Nobody from Gladstones or UKPME will turn up, I had a rent-a-lawyer from SCS/LPC who, in hindsight, I could have challenged on rights of audience, but I wasn't 100% familiar with the ins and outs of it.
I also know that a certain private parking appeals company who are recommended by Parking Cowboys have had a lot of involvement with some of the other claims that UKPME are pushing through for that location - it may be worth making contact with them as they already have a lot of the background information and evidence packs.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
StaffsSW...give over...let's stick with this successful forum, which is all we recommend.Missus got a Notice of Allocation to the small claims track where within it said that Claimant had to pay the court fee and complete application by 26th September at 4.00pm which I now find by contacting the court that they have..

Manchester is a relatively EASY court to win at; they get the scam. You'll be fine.
So you need to show is your Witness Statement and evidence next, as per the 'What happens when' post in the NEWBIES thread post #2.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

UKPE had one hearing in Manchester yesterday, Unfortunately I wasn’t able to stay for the hearing due to work commitments, but spoke to the defendant who was very anxious, The defendant is a taxi driver who picked up passengers in 3000 Aviator Way Manchester and was only stopped for a few minutes. The infamous Mr Pickup was representing the claimant and I was with the defendant when he introduced himself. I told the defendant that a brief stop should be covered by the grace period. I asked the defendant to e mail me with the outcome of the hearing, which they said they would do. I have not had a response as yet. The case was due to be heard by DJ Talbot0
