House rewire cost

3 bed terrace in East Anglia. Had 3 quotes for full rewire (we redid the whole house), so excluded plastering as this was already being done by builders. Cheapest was 2.2k plus VAT, most was £5k plus VAT from some chancers....0

anything between £3-4k sounds reasonable for the rewire part.
Don't forget to budget to plaster / redecorate after. You can't expect an electrician to plaster as well.
We're having various bits plastered anyway so the affected areas were going to get done anyway, but good advice. Also, the whole house is being redecorated and is currently like a building site - good time to get such things done if they need to otherwise we'll regret it in a few years when it has to be done and some of the decorating is ruined.0
