I just thought of a number tbh0

That sounds expensive. I'd be looking for half that but it's a while since I had a full rewire.

3 bed semi Bristol around 3.5k0

My electrician friend always says a very ballpark figure for a full rewire of around £1k per bedroom, so yes for a 3 bed semi £3k seems close.0

We've just had our upstairs light fittings required and paid £560.0

anything between £3-4k sounds reasonable for the rewire part.
Don't forget to budget to plaster / redecorate after. You can't expect an electrician to plaster as well.0 -

I think if I was having a full house rewire I probably would expect the quote to include re plastering as well, even if the sparky doesn't actually do the plastering himself and subs it out to someone he knows, it's still a pretty integral part of the job.0 -
We paid around £2,300 a couple of years ago (3 bed semi in the North West), as someone mentioned don't forget the cost of redecorating in addition to this!0
