Debt from 2011 is being updated monthly on my credit report

I would write to them recorded delivery, and ask them for a final response as to why they are updating your credit file in this manner ..
Point out that the FCA guidelines state that they must report to your credit file an accurate description of the status of your payments.
In this case, an accurate description would be that the payment agreement broke down 6 years ago and a default should be issued reflecting that date ..
As this is 6 years ago, it would then not show up on your credit file as you state you have not acknowledged the debt in that time frame.
I had a similar situation with a payday loan company recently and their final response was that they agree this is against guidelines and they changed the entry to a default dating back 5 years.
So for me its 1 more year and it is gone forever.
Im not sure the process to actually complain to the FCA when you do get the response (if it isnt to your liking) but im sure more knowledgeable people on here will be able to advise you.
Hope this helps
