You need the pin number as well.0 -
If you have a one off bill to pay then a credit card is not the answer unless you are getting a zero percent card (and the op doesn't sound like it).
Have a good look at alternatives like a bank loan or p2p lender such as Zopa. The latter has the advantage you can pay off early if you can afford it and save yourself the interest.0 -
Lloyds Bank credit cards are sent through in a blank envelope and often don't even mention Lloyds on the envelope anywhere. The Co-brand barclaycards are the same (Only the Hilton Credit card at the moment)0

My housemate's picked up his Aqua card but the Barclaycard is still in the kitchen. I've posted a screenshot of the envelope. The Aqua card only showed the top part of the card. The Barclaycard showed the whole damn card.
lol that's an advertising envelope, there's no card in there it's just trying to get you to apply for one.0 -
In my experience, most cards that come through the post are quite heavily disguised.
From memory, my most recent cards from TSB and Tesco came in hand written envelopes with no hint of what was inside. When I saw them on the door mat I genuinely wondered about what the item could be.
My replacement Nationwide Credit Card was in a thin padded envelope, again handwritten. Had me wondering if I'd ordered something online that I'd forgotten about.
My First Direct Debit card was delivered by courier, I can't remember what was on the envelope.0 -
Do you live in a high risk area?
The reason I ask is my cards always come in the standard post with no real attempt the disguise the contents. In my experience, most cards that come through the post are quite heavily disguised.

High Risk? I don't think so, unless there has been an issue with the local sorting office. It's been my experience for years that card deliveries are either disguised or by courier. It seems a sensible policy.0

Having said that I'm used to cards arriving somewhat disguised, I came home to find a new Nationwide Debit Card, a Lloyds Debit Card AND it's PIN all in the same post. Was pretty obvious that the cards were cards.0
