If you're old enough to have credit cards, then you're an adult. It's not anybody's business what's in your mail/post.

Regardless, HSBC will happily have your cards and pin sent to your local branch. I've done this once when I was moving house and wasn't sure if the card would arrive by the time I'd moved to the new property.
  • I can confirm Aqua cards are sent in plain envelopes, no shiny logo and just a PO box somewhere to return the post in case it goes missing.

Yes 100% Aqua cards are sent in plain envelopes but the address is at the back though

Not true. My housemate was sent an Aqua card. It's in an open window envelope with part of the card showing visibly.

Not always the case. My housemate's Aqua card is still in the sealed open window envelope, and it's the logo part of the card is visibly displayed in the open window part.

Just be honest with people you live with if you have to. Makes life less stressful and simpler.

I think the OP is concerned that a housemate might be tempted to steal the card.

I'm not convinced that a credit card is a great way to pay off a tax bill anyway.

I very much doubt any company will put their name on a card envelope, they don't want them to be stolen at Royal Mail.

There's a fee to pay in any event. Maybe their 'budget payment plan' would be a better way of spreading the payment?

My housemate's picked up his Aqua card but the Barclaycard is still in the kitchen. I've posted a screenshot of the envelope. The Aqua card only showed the top part of the card. The Barclaycard showed the whole damn card.
