Guys/ Gals serious help required
Daughter off to UNi taking her GHD's with her, wife is distraught. Does anybody know how She straightners compare with GHD. They're half the price but are they any good. My entertainment budget could be on the line here.
Cheers in advance

I agree GHD's are the best around. I may have a little ray of light though.
I managed to get mine for around £75 (relatively cheap), by using a site www.hqhair.com - There are always loads of voucher codes for this site, I would recommend visiting www.vouchercodes.com as they always have a big list of codes for this site so hopefully you can get a good discount0 -
Thanks for this...I will keep looking back but at the moment non of the codes are working0

Some times in life you get what you pay for - GHDs are definately worth the etc.
However you could kill two birds (so to speak) and get them as an early christmas pressie for your wife0 -
I am in the same position with daughter heading of to uni along with her GHD'S. Help ! Also looking to buy replacement, seems that the heat of GHD'S is the main factor to consider. I'd love to get some as good but cheaper.Good luck with your search and let us know if you find a good buy !!:A0

I don't thin GHD's are the best tbh - no better than normal straighteners.

I pride myself on not being taken in by brands or advertising. I will always scrutinise specifications or ingredients to compare products and often find a less hyped product that is the same or better quality, and less expensive, than the hyped product.
However, there is just one exception to my guerrilla consumer and 'never be taken in by the advertising' rules. If my GHDs broke I would immediately go out and buy another set and I wouldn't even bother to shop around!
Do yourself a favour and don't take a chance on it! The early Xmas present idea is nice but for the GHD afficionado it would have to be 'Christmas in September'!

I was thinking about purchasing GHD's and followed a thread on MSE leading me to purchase these from Amazon at £34.99
http://www.amazon.co.uk/BaByliss-2085U-Pro-230%C2%B0C-Straighteners/dp/B000BFN80I/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/026-9714010-9784422?ie=UTF8&s=personal&qid=1189629234&sr=8-1
I have to say they are amazing! Argos have them on offer at moment, but still more expensive than Amazon!
Read the reviews, they are all true!0
