TalkTalk switch from SKY

Yes I think you can pay for 18m line rental at time of order.
It is quite an eye watering price though considering it's not even installed and working at this point.0 -
Quite often, there is a cashback offer, that could be ditched for switching provider.
In your personal experience how easy it is to switch to other Internet provider. What sort of effort involved and how many days you have been left without a BB ??I'm in the same boat, leaving Sky now they're charging £24.
I've been with talk talk twice before. The speed is about the same and reliability only slightly worse (sky has been almost faultless and if it drops out generally fixes itself within a minute). If you ever need to call them though you'll be tearing your hair out trying to get it fixed with any urgency.
I wouldn't rule talk talk out if they had a clear winner of a deal but I think plusnet could be worth it. £50 back plus 115.50 on topcashback. The catch is its for 18 months - free broadband for the entire period but I'm not sure if you can pay the whole line rental for the contract up front. It looks tempting for me though, any thoughts?0 -

Switch should be very simple and it has always been on my ten or so ISP swaps .
BB down no more than an hour at most .
ADSL to Fibre may take an hour more .0 -
I recently switched from Sky to Talktalk. Talktalk handled it all and it was completely painless.0

The company you're switching to will make it easy and the switchover on the date is quick and straightforward. I certainly can't imagine you being without Internet overnight.
I'll see what Sky offer me when I tell them.0 -

No, they're much worse!"There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -
Can't fault Talktalk. Customer service is very good.0

VM offloaded me onto Talk Talk a year ago and have had no problems whatsoever. Can't give an opinion about Customer Service as I haven't had to contact them about anything.0
