Hi all, I'm a newbie so please be gentle with me.
In March of this year I recieved a letter from Orange telling me they were transferring an amount I owed to a debt company. As I had cancelled my contract in April 2014 I assumed there had been an error. I telephoned the debt company and then Orange (now EE) and they told me that there had indeed been an error and I didn't owe anything. 2 months later the debt company wrote me a letter to tell me as I had requested a PAC code and didn't use it my account remained open and was closed 6 months later due to non payment. I don't remember requesting this code and don't remember being told the account would remain open. I am horrified as I wasn't told any of this until nearly 2 years later. Any ideas where I stand? I've requested further evidence but they just say I requested it and it was explained to me on the phone and pay up.... Really!
