Faulty iPad

Bought an Ipad off eBay last September for £150, persuaded mainly by the "2 year warranty" the online shop advertised. Worked fine for 6 months however now when I try to charge it up (and I've used 3 different chargers so its not that) it doesn't work. Emailed the company 3 times, no reply. Tried to find them online, company doesn't exist. Complained to eBay who say it's got to have failed within 30 days of being bought to have the guarantee money back. I've made enquiries with local repair shops and they quote between £40-£99 for them to repair. I've tried gently cleaning both the bit at the end of the charges and the port it goes into with a soft toothbrush but still no luck.

Any suggestions?

turn it off and try to clean the charging port with a paper clip. youll be surprised the fluff that can gather

Will leave it "charging" for half an hour, but doesn't look like anything is happening, which will mean that I'll probably have zero power soon

Have you changed the cable? I had a similar issue. The problem was the cable, not the charger.

I mean have you actually tried taking it to an apple store?

I second the cable. Try a different plug (end of the charger) and a different cable. My son goes through cables at an alarming rate.
