Switched account from Santander to Co-Op - Missing money

Hello all
My partner closed her Santander savings accounts and transferred to Co-op - The switch went through today, however she is short by almost £600 in her new account and cannot log into her old Santander account as it is now closed
Is this a common occurrence when switching banks? Will Santander be able to sort this out when they re-open for business tomorrow?!

If she used the CASS it's down to Co-op, not Santander, to sort the problem.0

When my husband switched his Santander 123 accounts out he could/still can log on to his online account and view statements using his old online log in details. I can't remember if he logged on during the switching day if he could still access his account before it dropped off/closed.0

I am unaware of any switching offers for savings accounts - OP, what was switched and how?0 -
OP, are you sure this was a savings account? I'm not aware of any way to switch savings to another bank other than by doing it yourself, so if it's £600 short it's because your partner has made a mess of things. However, if it was really a current account and CASS was used then YorkshireBoy's advice is sound.0

You can't use CASS for savings accounts.

I switched a Lloyds account (to TSB) which had a savings account attached.
There were no funds in the savings account, but it's still there, I can log in and view the zero balance . . . hmm, maybe I should close it.0 -

That's not surprising. Using CASS the only account to be switched will be the current account which you specify on the switch application.0 -

Just making the point that maybe the OP's missing cash is in a savings account which was attached to the original current account, but never mind.0 -
Thanks all for the suggestions - I did mean current account (in my head I think current and savings accounts are the same thing!)
I will tell her to contact the Co-Op today0 -
Thanks for the clarification, that certainly makes more sense. Does the new Co-op account show that the amount transferred during the switch was £600 less than expected, or did all the money get transferred but the balanc eis now £600 lower?0
