Write a cheque, doing multiple transfers may flag as fraud as cause more hassle.

If your mum can prove where it came from yeah why not. If it's a transfer from another bank your bank will just pass the buck.

If this were possible without hindrance all money launderers would have mums giving them money

They know where it is coming from - her account. Money laundering rules apply more to cash as there is no paper trail of where it came from.

You can do faster payments to the limit one after the other - no need to wait for 3 days.
