    Ok,
So now, open an elevated command prompt .
(type CMD in the search bar, and then RIGHT click on "command prompt" and choose "run as administrator"

Then, in the black box that appears, type sfc /scannow (note the space) and press enter ..

Once it has finished, reboot and try the install again
    Let us know

Sounds drastic, but ... perhaps UNinstall the video driver (choose the option to delete the driver files)? Then reboot, you'll start up with a standard VGA (low res) driver, then install the nVidia driver?

OR ... have you gone to the nVidia website to search for the correct driver for your CPU/graphics card, rather than relying just on the links in this thread?

NVid web site usually contains a tool to check your required drivers.

If you are still having problems with the driver installation then it could a possible issue with the 8200 GPU chipset, see link here and scroll to the bottom for potential solution:

Thanks Andy, I tried your suggestions but the install still failed on the Graphics Driver install.

I'll have a read through Fightsback's link to see if anything on there helps.

But as they don't work i would be looking at alternatives.
Especially as it worked for me on Win 10 + Nvidia driver install . .

Of course the OP has not said what the base system is, some OEMs use modified drivers for the cards/chips they use :D

Edited OH and it could be the BIOS on the motherboard (often around the power settings)

Having another go at resolving this, but still got issues.

I did a search on NVidea for correct driver for Nvidea Geforce 8200 & it came back with release 341.95. Tried installing this, but the Graphics Driver install is still failing, would help if it gave a reason why it has failed.

Been thinking if I can't resolve this then I should go back to windows 7. But then I thought if windows 10 has removed the drivers during the upgrade maybe i'm going to have the same problems back on windows 7.
