Windows 10 blurry text/fonts

I upgraded my desktop from windows 7 to windows 10 yesterday. But a problem I have in Windows 10 is the text & the fonts now all seem to be blurry.


I've tried playing with various settings but can't seem to resolve.


Anyone got any ideas how I can get my display sharper ?

Hi,


RIGHT click on the start flag, and choose device manager ..


expand the "display adapters" bit and then RIGHT click on your display adapter and choose "update driver software"


It will go away and download the most suitable driver for your hardware and your resolution should be back to what you expect.

Also try running cleartype (search it in start) and go through it to see if makes a difference

Unfortunately I get the following error when I try to download the driver software.


"Windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device


Windows found driver software for your device but encounted an error while attempting to install it


NVIDIA GeForce 8200


The remote procedure call failed"

That happens to me sometimes .
Before we go down any other routes - please reboot your machine and try again

Still got the same problem after rebooting my machine.

Download the driver from here :-

And try to install it manually .
Let us know how you get on.


At least we know what your problem is now so we can work on getting it fixed ..

Not successfull with the download.:( I get the following error when installing the nvidea driver at the system check stage :-


"NVIDEA installer cannot continue


This NVIDEA graphics driver is not compatible with this version of windows.


This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware."

You may need the 64 bit driver the link is to 32 bit .

I've just tried to install the 64-bit driver, but install failed again, it got further than the 32 bit download, but failed at the install stage.
It doesn't say why it failed, but under components says
Graphics driver version 341.81 status Failed
