The cheapest is the winner for me.

I've been with nPower - they were pretty good for me.
Scottish Power were also pretty good.
Now I'm with First Utility, who seem okay too!

The only problems have been when switching.

I wouldn't go for a company I've not particularly heard of before though. First Utility has been the most obscure so far.

Another consideration is whether the company has an app I can submit readings with. Loads easier - some even come with a shortcut to the phones flash to use as a torch.

I'm with OVO since November (my first energy supplier where I'm paying the bill). At that time it was top 3 but had easily the best customer feedback so I went with them.

I had the chance of switching to BG during their significantly lower MSE Switch offer but chose not to. My plan is to stick with them as long as possible for fear of others not having as good customer service

I'm with Npower. Yes you need to keep an eye on them, but think of the £££

Npower could save me £200 a month (just used the MSE Cheap Energy Club tool). The only thing is they also say Npower has low customer satisfation (15% great - 58% poor).

All the other top picks from the club are from tiny companies I have never heard of for example,
The next best result is a saving of £154 (AVRO) however they only have the feedback of 12 votes on customer service and it - 50% great - 25% poor.

Huby wants a good customer care company - I just want to save money. How do you chose your Energy Company and what is your advicee for me?

Consult a comparison site as you have done.

Look for the cheapest supplier/s - you can usually save more today going to seperate suppliers compared to dual fuel.

Decide if you would like to be supplied by the cheapest supplier/taiff for that fuel. If not, then go to the next cheapest & repeat. Repeat until you select a supplier & tariff that suits your needs & pocket.
