First post so please bear withe me:
I don't think it has been fixed because I'm having problems as I type this. I work from home and have to log onto a remote server and it's not possible due to BT's outage problems. Everyone else (whose provider ins't BT) is fine and able to log on to the server.
My point or question is: Can I claim compensation for loss of earnings? I'm on zero hours contract as it is and not exactly a high earner so every £ lost is felt dearly.
Thanks for you help.0 -
There do seem to be more problems this morning, but I really wouldn't hold out much hope that you will get compensation from BT.0

If you are using a residential service, then no, there is no guaranteed service level.0 -
If you are using a residential service, then no, there is no guaranteed service level.
If you are using a RESIDENTIAL broadband connection for WORK purposes then you are on the wrong connection.
You will need to upgrade your RESIDENTIAL broadband connection to a WORK one and PAY substantially more to enable you to have a SLA (Service Level Agreement) that allows compensation.

I have opinions, you have opinions. All of our opinions are valid whether they are based on fact or feeling. Respect other peoples opinions, stop forcing your opinions on other people and the world will be a happier place.0 -

Thanks for clarifying. It's stabilized now and my employers have informed me that since it wasn't my fault I would still be paid. So no loss of earnings after all.0
