Twitter win: mystery of the disappearing tweet

Early this morning (I was still in bed) I was reading the news on my iPad when a Twitter notification banner appeared at the top of my screen, which I clicked on - "Congratulations! You have won a bottle of sparkling wine (English, I think, I was half asleep) please send a picture of your photo ID to prove you are over 18 and your address for delivery". I responded with thanks and a promise to send ID ASAP.
When I got up I hoiked out my passport and took a photo of the relevant page, but when I came to send it there is no sign of the tweet! Nothing in notifications, and I've looked at my 'likes' and retweets back to 1/07 and I can't see it. Have I missed something obvious?

Have you tried looking at the notifications centre on your ipad? On mine if you pull down from the top of the screen you see a list of all the notifications from different apps.

If you are using the standard Twitter interface on your browser, when you go in to Notifications at the top under the word 'Notifications' there will be the option to choose to see notifications from 'all' or just 'people you follow'. Click on 'all' and all notifications should appear. I hope you understand what I mean and I haven't confused you more :rotfl:0 -

Thanks for your support technoflump, I can only see "Notifications", no options
It's under the word Notifications on the right hand side above the timeline, you might be looking at the Notifications along the bar at the top. The words 'all' and 'people you follow' are quite small so easily missed.
On the other hand you must have dreamt it all, this heat can do funny stuff to people
