I'm moving to a 3 bedroom house and noticed out the back they had 2 large lpg gas calor bottles (I'm guessing they were 47kg?). I'm wondering what the running costs are for the central heating and water? how long would 2 bottles last in the winter? there is no bath in the house so I know why now as ive read to fill it up would run it down quite a lot!

do you just get calor to come and collect them and get replacements or do they refill them there n then? I have honestly no idea about this :money:

thanks

  • In a previous property, a one bed flat above a garage, which had a shower but no bath, I used an average of six or seven of the large LPG gas bottles a year. That was when I was working full time so the central heating was only on during the evenings. The cooking was all electric.
