Does anyone else think 'they' are a new kind of 'bot, or am I just paranoid? :o
    Not paranoid in the slightest.
Both of the people concerned signed up to MSE on the 14th July, both have made two posts and each time, Kathryn has posted straight after Gary.
    Coincidence? I think not.

    Hi everyone
I have a bosch rotak 32r mower which I bought about 3 years ago, there was a problem that the grass chippings were all left in the garden and not getting collected, so I checked online and ordered new blades thinking its the blades. After trying to replace the blade for long enough, I gave up and started mowing but now when the blades are rotating there is a very weird sound coming from inside like something is stuck. It was working fine, it did half the garden and then just would not spin the blades, its like something is stuck inside.
    Any suggestions please.
I did put wd40 on the screw to loosen it a little but that never happened, in the end it has almost gone bald so I dont know how will I get the new blade on as well.
I have the Rotak 37R and replaced the blade in it. It is a very large diameter bolt holding the blade in (and it is a normal right-hand thread), which was very difficult to undo. I think I used a mole wrench and the blade itself as a lever to undo it.
If something is stuck inside, removing the blade won't help, that bolt is purely to hold the blade in and nothing else is revealed when you eventually undo it.
Pages 5 & 6 in the manual here tell you how to stop the lock the drive if you have trouble removing the blade.
