The people on this forum can only help and advise you if you provide the information they've asked you for !
You're just being cantankerous ...0 -

I'm amazed at how a Forum which is supposed to help the unemployed and other people who claim benefits is so full of judgmental people.
This section is to aid people not judge or force your own personal beliefs upon them.
Try to stick to the confinements of the benefit system rules and laws.
I did but you expected to be told something without giving the full facts to help us do so.
Tax credits is based on what you earned last year and what you expect to earn this tax year. Without knowing that I can't do any calculations.
If you earn £7000 this year how much you'd get would be different than if you earned £10,000. The detail matters.0 -

I've paid my dues over the last 25 years and have the right to choose what is best for myself and others do too.

The best help you can have is to be advised to accept this job offer without quibbling. At 42 and having already been unemployed for a few years, if the gap becomes any longer you might never work again which is, or should be, a pretty dismal prospect. This is practical rather than moral advice.
Middle aged people who've been unemployed for a few years are not the most attractive prospect to employers, rightly or wrongly.0 -

I.ve worked for 43 years, but had to this year retire due to health reasons do I feel like I'm in titled to benefits no I don't, do I need them to sum degree I do,but I would rather struggle as long as I can.
So the only advise I would give you is have some self respect and take the job.:)0
