  • In the original contract it does state that I will be charged for excess mileage and condition.

In which case no need for another document - up to you whether you engage and just resend the original contract.

I've not read original post - are you likely to be liable for condition/mileage costs ? If so then either do the above or just cease communication and wait for the bill before rediscussing
  • The condition of the car is excellent. I have gone over the mileage, currently by 200 miles and the deal is due to end next April.

What do you mean by resending the original contract?

If they're persistently chasing you to sign a new document just email a copy (or even just refer them) to the original contract you signed.
  • Is email recommended? As an alternative to actually posting a letter?

Legal Beagles is a good source for template letters and advice on VT problems. They do rather get their knickers in a knot over excess mileage charges though, legal opinion seems to be split 50/50 over whether they can charge them. I think this is why companies are going towards PCH rather than HP/PCP as there is no easy get out clause.
  • I'm tempted to bite the bullet and sign their form, just to get it over with. Essentially all i'll be agreeing to do additionally to my original contract is pay the mileage.
