Dear Lee,
Thank you for contacting us with your claim. We regret the time it’s taken to respond to you and we thank you for your patience.
Unfortunately, Norwegian flight DY2853 (ARN-LGW) 21.07.2014 was delayed by 7 hours and 9 minutes. Despite our best efforts, we were unable to avoid the disruption to this flight.

Hi fudgey,
I don't quite understand your post.
Are you saying that because of Norwegian's frankly ludicrous response you have now referred to the ADR?If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

What is DY online claim?
Sorry the code was a typo DI
Link under contact us on their website for claiming online https://www.norwegian.com/uk/travel-info/delayed-and-cancelled-flights/delayed-flights/
A month from claiming with all receipts attached , bank details etc to receiving confirmation they accepted my claim in full , a week later confirmation payment was processed, hit the bank in five working days.
Maybe they deal better with claims submitted direct onto their own system ? Just a thought.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

They response they sent has pretty much tied up the case in your favour:
"Reason for disruption: This delay was caused by technical difficulties."
Slam dunk. Although expect the ADR process to be slow, slow, slow.
And possibly an adverse outcome.
Still MCOl if that happens. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Hi All,
Norwegian Air Cancelled my family flights with 5 months notice, they stated I can fly out 24 hours before or 24 hours later or have a full refund, I asked if they could book me with another airline, they said no.
I can only fly out on the day I originally booked, so I asked for a full refund. The new tickets cost me £540 more than their tickets. Would I be able to claim this from Norwegian Air?
Thanks

In a word yes.
Under reg 261/2004, Norwegian are obliged to rebook you, on another airline if necessary, at their expense.
Specifically if you asked for alternative flights and they denied you this, they have not fulfilled their legal obligations.
You should claim the difference between the new flights and what you received back from Norwegian (which should have been a full refund, no deductions of any sort).
Have you actually received the refund?
Good luck, Norwegian will try to wriggle out of it one way or another. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Yes I did get a full refund on my original tickets, however even that they got wrong the first time.
Thanks for helping, I will give it a go.
