Hope you manage to have a nice relaxing evening and feel more comfortable. What's your due date?
I'm 30 weeks now so due at the beginning of December.Starting a new debt free journeyStarting Debt: £5,250Current Debt: £4,995.50Amount Paid: £254.50 Percentage Paid: 4.84%Emergency Fund: £3500 -
I started to make my way up to bed at 8:30 last night  but stopped in the nursery on the way and ended up sorting and folding all 0-3 month clothes. They all need to be washed now, but I can do one drawer at a time so will stay organised! I think I may bring the tumble dryer out of retirement and tumble the baby's clothes as they'll be all lovely and soft!
Definitely no call for work sofor the money but :j for a day at home alone! Will have to push for work next week! Dh sold some weights yesterday so brought home £10. That has gone into one of the treat envelopes for when we redecorate our bedroom (hopefully before baby arrives). I've got £20 in there now, and will be wanting to buy a new light shade, bedside lamps, pillow cases and a bed sheet. I will need to get a couple of things to out up on the wall at some point as well as we're painting them very plain! There's no rush, though! Black and white canvas pictures of our babies (my eldest will always be my baby!) will look lovely!
My credit card statement is ready. I spent more than I should, but know that came from a week or so ago where I bought baby things and maternity things. The statements is for £1050. I probably spent about £200 that weekend so if I hadn't I would have been at target. I should have a lot of what I need now though! I've got the money sitting, ready to lay the credit card off so will do that today (once I move from bed to find my bank card so I've got my security code.....I can't remember it off the top of my head!!!).
I need to plan my Tesco shop for this week. I may take ds tomorrow morning. Making dinner last night, the frozen veg all started to run out (I used a few bits last night!!) as well as the pasta.i don't think I've ever run out of pasta before!! :rotfl: Will need to get bread today, though, as there isn't enough for Dh for work tomorrow.
Dinner is easy tonight. I made a huge pasta bake last night (I threw in everything I had in the house :rotfl: ) There's over half left so it's dinner sorted (and possibly lunch!!).Starting a new debt free journeyStarting Debt: £5,250Current Debt: £4,995.50Amount Paid: £254.50 Percentage Paid: 4.84%Emergency Fund: £3500 -
Well this morning I've sorted my food shopping list out. I may go after I collect ds from school instead now. We won't have to move too early tomorrow then :rotfl: I love having lazy mornings at home with Ds.
I've also contacted PayPal as I still had a business account, so have changed that back to personal. I've also sent in proof of change of name as it's still in my maiden name (I won't tell you how many years ago I got married!!! :rotfl: ).
I've been offered 2 half days in work before half term, so have accepted them. They're near to the town I do my grocery shopping, so I'll do the food shop after finishing work both times which means only a couple of extra miles of petrol instead of whole journeys.
I'm now going to make a couple of worksheets and laminate them for ds. He's loving learning new things and practising writing at the moment. He sees it all as a game, so I'm taking advantage and going to get a few things made up, printed and laminated (the advantage of being a teacher!). I have ordered some counters and dice from eBay this morning (£1.49 and £1.79 but there are 10 dice and 50 counters so not too bad!).
Whilst on eBay I listed an empty ink cartridge to see if I can make a few pence from that!
I've had a look at wilko's website for prices for the bits I want for our bedroom. It comes to £22 and I've already got £20 stashed away so I'm sure finding the extra £2 will be easy. :j The next envelope is for a night out in January for a big family birthday. I'm not sure if we'll be paying for food, but I'm budgeting £80 which should cover food, drinks and outfits for my 2 boys! If there's anything left over it will go towards the next envelope (another big birthday night out!!).Starting a new debt free journeyStarting Debt: £5,250Current Debt: £4,995.50Amount Paid: £254.50 Percentage Paid: 4.84%Emergency Fund: £3500 -
Afternoon,
Have you heard about the tesco delivery save deal? You can get midweek delivery for £2.50 a month as many deliveries as you like min spend £40. I've signed up to make the next months easier while babies here.
You sound really good at getting DS involved with learning games. Any ideas for a 26month old? We play snap and do puzzles and colouring a lot. He's just learning to count so we count a lot when pottering around playing etc. xemergency fund:£179/ £1000 Uniform/car fund:£

At that point that's what we were doing with ds. Reading stories, talking, snap, matching pairs, colouring, jigsaws and we picked up a few orchard toys games. Ds loves the incy wincy spider one, which teaches counting and shapes.
I hadn't heard about the Tesco deal, thank you! Will look into it!Starting a new debt free journeyStarting Debt: £5,250Current Debt: £4,995.50Amount Paid: £254.50 Percentage Paid: 4.84%Emergency Fund: £3500 -
Big laundry day today. It's supposed to stay dry here so hoping I can get it out on the line for the day, and maybe throw the towels in the tumble dryer to finish off if they're still damp. I still haven't started washing the baby's things, but will start with the towels and the laundry basket today and if there's time I'll start on baby's clothes.
Ended up going to Tesco yesterday, and spent just over £25. I did manage to leave all the frozen things on the side in the kitchen. Thankfully they hadn't all defrosted by the time Dh got home from work and found them! Oops! I also bought a big bag of potatoes and got home to find another full one on the veg rack. Double oops! Need to look up some potato recipes. Oh, and I bought parsnips for roasting ready for our Sunday lunch, and Dh reminded me that we're not home for Sunday lunch this weekend. I didn't really have a good shop!!!
Slow cooker meal tonight, shredded chilli chicken. I was going to have it with rice, but may see what potato recipe goes with it :rotfl:Starting a new debt free journeyStarting Debt: £5,250Current Debt: £4,995.50Amount Paid: £254.50 Percentage Paid: 4.84%Emergency Fund: £3500 -
Morning,
Thanks for the tips I'll look up those games.
Ha ha sounds like you were tired when you went shopping. How about wedges with the chilli chicken? And jacket potato for breakfast? And mash for lunch? Xemergency fund:£179/ £1000 Uniform/car fund:£

Well I'd pretty much typed up the whole message, then had to get up because I'd scratched a tiny little cut on the top of my back and spent absolutely ages trying to stop it bleeding! And I mean there was a lot of blood! By the time I managed to get a tissue onto it, my whole back was red! Sorry to gross anyone out, but pregnancy does strange things to the body. The cut was only the size of a small pimple. Strange!!
Anyway, by the time I came back to this it had disappeared!!
The gist of what I was saying was that today has been a nsd :j Second one this week. I'm aiming for one more tomorrow.
I've done lots of laundry and have washed most of the baby things as well as a couple of loads of towels. I have used the tumble dryer quite a bit, but it has drizzled outside all day.
Dh finished work early and has taken tomorrow off without me asking to give me a chance to rest a little. I must look rough!! I slept awfully when I was pregnant with ds. I'd wake at around 2 every morning and would end up getting up and then going back to bed around 6/7 o'clock for a few hours. That's definitely out of the question this time around so I'm constantly tired.
Right, bed time!Starting a new debt free journeyStarting Debt: £5,250Current Debt: £4,995.50Amount Paid: £254.50 Percentage Paid: 4.84%Emergency Fund: £3500 -
I literally woke every hour last night!! Dh took the day off so I've spent most of it napping!
Today has been another nsd (just. I asked Dh to pick up a small bottle of caffeine free Diet Coke, but he couldn't find any!!!).
Dinner was more of the chilli chicken from yesterday's slow cooker meal, served with a jacket potato and a bit of veg. There's still plenty of the chilli chicken so we'll have it again tomorrow night with some chips. Homemade slimming world style ones so that we can use up more of the potatoes!! This chilli chicken is actually really tasty, will definitely make it again!
Managed a couple of surveys today and yesterday. Prolific is back to £2 after withdrawing the money a few days ago, and onepoll is now at almost £20. Almost half way to getting to the £40 I need to withdraw!Starting a new debt free journeyStarting Debt: £5,250Current Debt: £4,995.50Amount Paid: £254.50 Percentage Paid: 4.84%Emergency Fund: £3500 -
I only woke twice last night :j
Today won't be a nsd (but I have managed 3 this week :j ). I'm having my haircut this afternoon (though will probably be the last cut before baby makes an appearance!). I've been growing it out so that it's easy to tie back/put up once baby is here so just a little trim today.
Ds has swimming this afternoon. I may take him into town a little earlier to pop to a couple of shops. I have a voucher for a free no7 lipstick, which runs out today. We're also running out of satsumas (they were really tasty ones this week) so will buy some more. I also need to put some petrol in the car. I'm also thinking about popping to pick up the bedroom bits from Wilko with the money in the envelope. Definitely not a nsd today!!
My overtime money should be in the bank by 9:30am. I've had a text to say it is going in, and I've been underpaid by £10. As it is through agency they take out holiday pay from your wages each week and you can ask for it back when you want it. When I signed up I said I wanted it paid out every week, and the contract I signed showed this. This hasn't happened and they've taken the holiday pay from me. I should be getting it back next week, so will phone up later to check.
Once the money has gone in I'll make sure the money is all transferred ready for October. Dh's pay has gone in today already.
I may start putting things in the hospital bags today. As well as a bag for me and baby, I'll pack things in ds's little case as when I end up going into hospital, he'll be having a sleepover at one of his grandparents houses!Starting a new debt free journeyStarting Debt: £5,250Current Debt: £4,995.50Amount Paid: £254.50 Percentage Paid: 4.84%Emergency Fund: £3500
