Stamp duty paid but being chased by HMRC

Hi everyone, I purchased my first flat back in June and received a letter on Friday from HMRC stating I owe them stamp duty + interest of £2... Obviously I will call my solicitor first thing on Monday but I wondered if anyone else had experienced this? I did find it weird how the land registry website still hadn't updated the price paid data for my property, though I did get a copy of the title certificate in the post from my solicitor shortly after we completed.
Hopefully nothing to panic over but receiving it on Saturday morning and not being able to talk to my solicitor has me worrying!

What do expect us to say?
Either
* your solicitor paid the SDLT and HMRC have made a mistake, or
* solicitor did not pay, and will have to now pay the interest as they messed up,or
* it was part-payed, but for some reason HMRC want some more (was there some 'cashback' arrangement with the seller? Or the purchase included F&F the value of which HMRC that might now be questioning)?
I assume you've got a SDLT receipt though?0
