I'm moving out of my rental - how do I end my talktalk contract?

I've lived in the property coming on 2 years. I'm with talktalk. I called a few months ago to ask how I can end my internet when i move out in august. they started talking about sending paperwork to the new tenants so that the ownership of the contract can change.

Can I just end my direct debit mandate? I don't want to be hit with a cancellation fee.

Thank you

Just be firm that you want to terminate, giving the 30 days notice. They will accept it eventually!

Call them today from your home phone (free) to cancel.
  • If you are cancelling because of moving home, then you will face a charge of, I think, £30 which is a standard termination fee charged by Open Reach to all broadband providers when the line isn't being taken on by a new customer.

It doesn't apply to LLU lines
