New Mobile Needed

Right, so my well used and well battered Galaxy S5 has come end of life, one drop too many and the internal Gyro has now given up the ghost (Along with a dodgy camera lens and a cracked screen, repairs are just not worth the effort now)

I'm looking for a replacement in the £300 (Or less) range. I require a decent sized screen, around the 5inch mark, reasonable component specs, at least equal to the S5 (I use my phone heavily, work use, games, onenote, fitness tracker, satnav, media player etc). It also needs to have either large internal storage (64gb+) or the ability to take at least a 64gb Micro SD card. Other than another S5 (Which id be happy with) anyone got any recommendations?

    LG G4?
Got OH a G3 early in the year to replace her Galaxy S3 and she's pretty happy with it.
G4 specs look good - takes a memory card, so capacity for loads of storage to supplement its 32GB.
Camera is great. Thinking of getting a wireless charger for the G3 to make life that little bit easier.
Only downside is I have noticed it doesn't seem to have such a good antenna as the S3. She gets signal dropout on calls where she didn't used to before (T-Mobile network). Not a serious problem though.

Moto G4 Plus. £199 on Amazon. Comes with dual SIM version too.
Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.

Consider the Moto X Play which does have NFC for an extra £30 (or less)

I have a Moto X Play and it's pretty decent for the price, note it does not have a gyroscope which the OP mentioned (so maybe required?)

    One plus 3. £309.
My boy has had his for about 3 weeks & it's a pretty impressive bit of kit, easily as good as my HTC one M8.

My son is hankering after one so I have done some research on it

Good point, missed that bit. However on the plus side compared to the one plus three it does have a sd slot (I won't buy a phone without one) and a large 3600mAh battery (1+3= 3000mAh).

My current mobile uses Windows Phone, and I probably will end up getting another Lumia with Windows 10 on it.

    But that's partly because I'm perverse. ;)

I think they're good phones and the OS is pretty good these days (although I believe the first Windows 10 Mobile versions were a bit flaky). The 950 has a good camera, I believe. Also I've more faith that Windows 10 will be kept up to date with security patches compared to Android, and while Apple does issue updates, they're quite pricey.

But the number of Windows 10 apps is very limited, and companies which you might want to interact with, only develop Windows 10 versions of their apps as an afterthought, if at all.
