Alcatel Onetouch 2045x internet settings

My network doesn't have this phone listed on the website, so I'd have to wait until office hours for support there. Similarly Alcatel don't do support at weekends.

I tried using the model numbers that are close and every time the phone complains "invalid settings." Trying to set up a connection manually gives "data connection not ready." and no config screen.

The instructions don't tell me how to set up the internet manually, and there is only quick start instructions on the website. Any one got this phone and know how?

OK after phoning both phone coop and alcatel where each blamed the other.

Alcatel admitted their phone was "not very good" at internet things, but didn't really get that being loaded up with features including a web browser, facebook, twitter, and a proprietary app store implies that the phone should be capable of more than just making calls and texts, and is a half-way-house. The lack of information on this handset is dreadful.

The phone has been returned for a refund.
